Makgamatha Attorneys is a black female owned law firm based in Waterfall City, Gauteng. We strive to advise and represent all our clients, both personal and corporate, with absolute professionalism driven by our values.

Meet Our Director
Lohu Makgamatha
Attorney and Notary
Lohu Makgamatha is an admitted attorney and notary with a passion for providing accessible, professional legal services. She holds an LLB from the University of Pretoria and served her articles at a firm focusing on personal injury and medical negligence claims.
After her admission, she joined a Johannesburg firm where she focused on commercial litigation, corporate law, and competition law. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Competition Law from the University of the Witwatersrand.
She later moved to the financial sector where she worked as a legal advisor and Fiduciary Specialist, earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning and an Advanced Diploma in Estates and Trust Administration from the University of Free State.
She holds accreditations as a CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) with the FPI and FPSA® (Fiduciary Practitioner of South Africa) with FISA. She is passionate about financial education, wealth preservation, and getting the right legal tools in place. She also enjoys drafting contracts and litigation.
She is actively involved in legal education and lecturing, sharing practical legal knowledge and professional experience with the next generation of South African legal practitioners. Through lecturing, she engages with undergraduate law students on key areas of law, translating complex legal principles, legislation and case law into practical and accessible learning.
